Our Garden is blooming

Begonias just put on such a show every year and I pick bits off and plant them around the garden and they bloom year after year

Cosmos just about to burst its buds.  I scattered the seed in every available space in Winter including all the pots.  I had forgotten them until the fluffy stems came up everywhere.  I thought they looked like carrots, but knew I hadn't planted carrots everywhere.  What could they be we pondered, maybe love in a mist, but the love in a mist came up and looked a little different.  Then I remembered the cosmos seeds.  They kept getting taller and taller and now are almost ready to burst their buds ( Their beauty revealed next post)

We found the hanging baskets kept drying out very quickly and struggled in last years heat.  This year we planted them with pelagoniams and they rewarded us with this delightful display.  Pelagoniams and geraniums will grow in dry and harsh conditions.

The sweet peas are just as their name implies, the sweetest little delicate flower

More Garaniums growing in a pot,I love the colour of this one.

More sweet peas

The poppies are blooming very early this year.  Usually they bloom for Poppy day in November.

Painted lillies,an all time favourite and so easy to grow

Statis is great for dried flower arrangements
