Fresh new look for 2014

I love Christmas and all the decorations, but as it is so hot here
I just couldn't cope with all the red any longer.

So out came the whites and pinks again.
My frilled table cloth got all screwed up in the linen cupboard, but I'm sure
it will straighten itself out as it hangs there.
I can't face ironing all those frills again LOL

Nice soft pink tablecloth over the top
and lace over that again.
I love the layed look

This little egg cup, spoon and salt pot,was given to me as a gift
It goes so well with my other rosey pieces

this delightful little measuring spoon set, another gift. I love it.
I think the knob on my spice cupboard needs a polish,it is actually brass.
This cupboard used to be in the bathroom and had a mirror on the door.

I removed the mirror and stuck labels all over the door, and put it on the kitchen wall
for a spice cupboard. It works so well with it's tiny shelves

Happy New Year
I hope you all have a blessed,healthy happy 2014

Sewing machine out again

Now that the big day is over, time to do a little sewing again.

I bought this beautiful soft white very fine fabric not knowing what I would make
from it. It's far nicer in real than the picture. It is a lot whiter than it looks here.

Do I make little dresses

Or Christening Gown

Or do I make an in between one such as a Christening dress
instead of gown, like the dresses above only a little longer
so that it's not too traditional but still pretty?

Have you ever had fabric that you couldn't resist buying
with no idea what to make with it?
This is one of those occasions.

I'll show you next time what I make
(that is when I make up my mind):)

I am going to visit some nice linky parties now
the links are on my side bar
I love to see what others are up to.

Happy New Year everyone.
stay safe

A good time had by all

We had such a lovely family Christmas Day
Lots of happiness
Keelan, our Grandson brought his guitar along
and we sang songs and giggled and laughed
Just perfect

Someone has to take the photo's so I'm not in any of them LOL

Even Rocky our grand doggy enjoyed his self
Nibbles of turkey whenever he got thrown a titbit

Can't wait now for the 6th January, when we are spending a holiday altogether
at a rented beach house.
To me life is all about family

I hope you enjoyed your day too.
Can you believe it's over already

See you next year xxx jeanetteann

More Christmas tweaking

I visited Bella at Bella's rose cottage today
and I loved how she used cut glass dishes etc with tea candles
They looked so pretty twinkling amongst the Christmas goodies
Sooooo, I had to copy, and I love them

I also made Banana chutney for the first time
and while I was on a roll, some orange marmalade
It makes lovely little gifts with their colourful tops

It's going to be a scorching 43c tomorrow. phhhhhhw
so I picked most of the hydrangeas,as I'm sure they won't cope
with the heat.
It was 1939 when it was last that hot in December 43.9 to be precise.

I hope you are staying cool in Aus
and warm for my Northern friends
Merry Christmas
I am still trying to get around all the nice linky parties
this week

Shabby Pink Christmas and pink garden

I have been tweaking my Christmas decor
I have already posted the traditional decorations in the house
I have now done the entrance and hallway in  a Shabby pink look
I made the wreath from scraps of organza

This is the tree I made also from organza,I love it, it's so pretty
with my little praying children and Angel

The garden is bursting over with pink this year
This I took from the sun room window

The hydrangeas are very sweet

The fairy rose is so delicate

Holly hocks going mad this year

A splash of white petunias

Have a lovely week
and I'll see you at our lovely linky parties
