Pretty china

 Hi everyone

Who doesn’t like pretty china?

I can’t resist looking at it and using it.  I have a birthday coming up and decided to have family over for High tea.  My son said Mum, what’s high tea, are we going to play golf.LOL. I mean, I thought everyone knew.

So a good opportunity to get out the pretty china.

I decided to also change my dresser display from blue and white to pink and floral and I’m so pleased I did, it’s such a nice change especially coming into Spring

Have a nice week xx jeanette ann

Sweet little dresses

 Good afternoon everyone

Well this week hasn’t been the kind to go for a walk or potter in the garden.

It has been a very wet few days,I think the wettest August on record. So I caught up on lots of sewing.  I love making smocked baby dresses and rompers.  It’s so relaxing.  I sell them in my Etsy shop,Etsy.com/shop/JeanetteO’Donnell,all lower case.  It’s just a hobby I enjoy.  Selling some allows me to purchase more fabric. Who can resist pretty fabric.  I had such a lot of scraps from making them, I decided to give them away.  I mean I had a humungus bag full so advertised them on market place giving them to anyone interested in using them up.  I thought it would be a quilter who would be interested. I have made a couple of patchwork quilts in the past but couldn’t seem to get around to do another.  So give them away I would.  I was a little disappointed that the first person to contact me only wanted them to make jam pot covers, I mean she would need to make a million to use them up.  Quite a few quilters contacted me too, but I had already given them to the first caller.  I used to take them to our library where a group of ladies sewed quilts for charity, but the library closed and I don’t know where they went which is a shame really.

Soooo I just forgot about the scraps and started making more LOL

These are some of my creations

Thank you for visiting xx jeanetteann

Last month of Winter

 Hi to all

It feels so nice to finally get back to blogging.  I have so missed it but just couldn’t find the time. Life seems to be so busy what with sewing the little smocked dresses and rompers to sell in my Etsy shop, Etsy.com/shop/JeanetteO’Donnell. all lower case. The computer keeps changing my name to upper case for some reason LOL.  My garden, which is very cottage and full of flowers 💐 draws me out there whenever the weather allows.  We are in the last month of Winter, it has been extremely cold but still the garden has continued to bloom with so much. Now the roses are starting to shoot and almost all my cottage seeds I sprinkled around are starting to peep through.  It’s so exciting planting from mixed packets of seeds as one never knows what will appear in Spring.  Exciting.  I planted 13 different veggies and have been picking greens constantly through Winter.  Just waiting for the red cabbage, cauliflower and broad beans to be ready,

Happy gardening xx jeanette ann
