Organic veggies

I woke up today, Sunday to a lovely day.  Sun shining and not a cloud in the sky.  I bought some seedlings at the market yesterday, so thought I'll spend a nice few hours in the veggie garden. Just had time to plant the seedlings when...
the sky clouded over and down came a shower of lovely fresh rain.  Everything looked so fresh and green.

It soon past over and I was back out there again.  This time I gathered some lovely fresh veggies, little hearting lettuce, broccoli, spring onions, chard, with their lovely bright coloured stems, baby broad beans, baby spinach and a selection of herbs.  Mint, chives, tarragon, sage and thyme.  I had to pick a few flowers for my little vase in the bathroom too, the sweet peas are so pretty.

A good mornings work I think.  Now for a well earned cuppa. Happy Sunday xxx

What a lovely way to spend a sunny Sunday - in the garden! I love the quote: "I feel closer to God in a garden than anywhere else on earth."
Thanks for stopping by and saying "hi" and leaving your very nice comment.
