Tea and Scones and new treasures found

It's Winter here and the roses are still blooming.
I am still able to cut quite a few for indoors.
Because it's so cold outside, we aren't sitting out, so I may as well enjoy the blooms where I spend most of my day.

We are having home baked scones hot from the oven, with jam and cream.

I think we will use the blue rose Nikko and some mismatched English china cups

When the roses fade,I still love them for a few more days,
even the dropped petals, get left just where they are.

I even, after tea is over, use the tea setting as my table centrepiece.

We also visited our favourite Vinnies today.
Within 2 minutes of walking through the door,we spotted this gorgeous 16 piece setting.

My hubby even said that we couldn't pass it up at $17 the set.
Now that does not usually happen.

With the gold chargers from Christmas, I think it looks really nice.

We also found another addition to our pink glass collection
I think it is so pretty and quite large.
For $4, a steel

I quite often use fruit as a centrepiece for our table too.
I love the colours with white embroidered linen

My Australian friends,Keep warm
and for my Northern friends, enjoy your lovely warm weather.

xx jeanetteann

Dearest Jeanetteann,

Lovely post, despite your cold weather. Maybe its because of it that you create such cozy settings inside your home. The home baked scones look yummy, as well as the jam and cream.
You got lucky with the new additions to your china and glass collection. Stay warm and cozy.
Yes, for those that love roses, this is valid till the last petal...
Love,
Mariette

Hi Jeanette Ann, I can't believe that you can still pick roses in the Winter. Here in Ut everything goes to sleep and is usually blanketed in snow. I love your beautiful tea set. The new found treasures are wonderful and such great prices. Yum, I love scones, but seldom make them. Thanks for sharing with Share Your Cup.

Hi again :)
It's a bit tricky with the different states having different public holidays on different dates ;) I try to keep up with Queensland's public holidays after 10+ years here lol - no idea what's happening in the rest of the country!! Wouldn't it be easier if all states had the same public holidays and school terms etc?! Keep warm :)
