Table revamp

I bought this table for my front porch entrance many years ago.  But after seeing one the same in a magazine painted white as bedroom side table, I just had to have mine the same. I am so pleased with the result. 

new finds

I found these lovely little crystal salt & pepper shakers today, along with a sweet tiny, crystal bedside lamp.  I just have to find a little shade for it.  Maybe I can make one from my lace stash.  That can be for a later post though. 

  I have a nice half moon wrought iron table with a glass top
I want to spray it white and put it beside the night and day bed in my sewing room.  The little crystal lamp will look lovely on it too.

I received a much wanted book "French Essence" by Vicki Archer, for my birthday, so a nice spot to sit in sunshine with some of my favourite For-get-me-knot china and Green tea. "Perfec"

I found these great little vintage bottles at an op shop today.  I have ordered some lovely roses decals from Jo-anne Colletti, she paints beautiful roses on just about anything http://www.vintagerosecollection.com/

They are so sweet, for-get-me-knots come up every year without fail,and I just think they are so pretty.  I use them in my embroidery designs whenever I embroider cottage gardens.

It was my lucky day.  I collect well everything really, but a lot of blue and white, so when I saw this jar today for $5 I just thought one more won't go astray (it's the one in the middle) when I got it home,I discovered it made a set teamed with my other two. 

  Another absolutely fab find.  We were taking some stuff to a local church shed sale, but you might know I bring back as much as I take.  I had to buy these pink glasses, 5 of them for $2.50 the lot, because I already have 6 the same, as well as 6 liquer one's.  They are French and very pretty  Lucky me.

When I visited this shed sale last time, I took a box of goodies. The next week while having a tidy up, I realised I had given them 3 blue and white saucers that matched cups and saucers I loved.  Needless to say I panicked and rushed back there to buy them back.  As usual lucky me, they were still there.

Well Spring is just about here and the lovely warm lazy days to look forward to.  I spent the day cleaning windows and pottering around and  still found time to sit in the garden with a nice cup of tea. 

 Everything is coming to life, as if they know the chill is all but over.  Seeds are popping up everywhere, infact some I can't remember planting.  I can't wait to see what the flower is like, they look like carrots at the moment.  I know I didn't plant carrots in the flower pots, so they must be flowers.

Roses vignette

I was so fortunate to find this beautiful creamer,sugar bowl and tray which I don't think has ever been used.  It is Royal Albert moss rose.  It matches the candlestick, and pin dishes I already had.  I think they will stay on my dressing table

I just love cherubs and angels.  I have so many inside and outside our home.

Our home named after Queen Victoria's holiday home in the Isle of White

and the Ships Captain that built his home near where we live,out of materials he brought from his home in England in the 1800's.  He named his new home Osborne House.
