Sweet little dresses

 Good afternoon everyone

Well this week hasn’t been the kind to go for a walk or potter in the garden.

It has been a very wet few days,I think the wettest August on record. So I caught up on lots of sewing.  I love making smocked baby dresses and rompers.  It’s so relaxing.  I sell them in my Etsy shop,Etsy.com/shop/JeanetteO’Donnell,all lower case.  It’s just a hobby I enjoy.  Selling some allows me to purchase more fabric. Who can resist pretty fabric.  I had such a lot of scraps from making them, I decided to give them away.  I mean I had a humungus bag full so advertised them on market place giving them to anyone interested in using them up.  I thought it would be a quilter who would be interested. I have made a couple of patchwork quilts in the past but couldn’t seem to get around to do another.  So give them away I would.  I was a little disappointed that the first person to contact me only wanted them to make jam pot covers, I mean she would need to make a million to use them up.  Quite a few quilters contacted me too, but I had already given them to the first caller.  I used to take them to our library where a group of ladies sewed quilts for charity, but the library closed and I don’t know where they went which is a shame really.

Soooo I just forgot about the scraps and started making more LOL

These are some of my creations

Thank you for visiting xx jeanetteann

Dearest Jeanette,
Amazing that you still are making those darling dresses by hand!
Your work is to be admired.
WISH your blog would show up in my feed on the sideline but it NEVER does...
Only stays at the very bottom with some others' blogs that don't seem to have a feed for renewing and showing up each time after publishing.
Big hugs from Georgia/USA,
Mariette
