Tea in the garden and my new love

We are in the very middle of Winter at the moment,
but we have had some gloriously beautiful days.
It has been raining at night and sunny during the day in between some cold ones
We have been able to sit in the garden ,reading and taking tea

I love using my china, especially the floral ones

We are having Tulsi tea today
I love the orange and pomegranate, but today it is the Indian Blend
Do you remember the beautiful collection of vintage linen I received a few weeks ago?
Two of the lace edged cloths were damaged.
I unpicked the lace from the damaged centre, and replaced it onto another piece of linen

Because it is Winter, the garden is a little dormant and my hubby has pruned back heaps.
I still found a little colour though which is pleasant on a Winters day.

I will take you on a little tour of our little garden

Taking you away from the garden for a moment
to see the start of my new collection.

While out thifting three weeks ago, I spotted this silver jug
I just loved it,but had spent my limit that day.
I thought, if it's there next week I will get it.

Well the next week it was,but alas I had spent again my limit.
This week,I spotted it again as I walked through the front door of Vinnies.
I knew it was meant to be mine.
I carried it around that shop, not to be sidetracked, and bought it.

I so love it, and thought it goes well with my chrome tray.

All I did to it was wash it in soapy water. I don't want to clean
it with silver polish as it is electroplated, not solid silver.
I love this stuff when it gets an aged patina .
I am now addicted and have seen some more nice silver pieces, but will
have to wait  for next weeks pocket money LOL :)

Hi Jeanetteann,
I love the cold nights and warm days...Autumn is my favourite season but this Winter has been lovely for me with just enough sunshine to keep my S.A.D away.
Your garden and china are lovely and I'd like sitting outside and having tea with you. It's nice you were able to save some of the damaged lace.
Have a good week

Who knows what today will bring....O my I almost forgot...I saw a white duck in the garden...just a peep of his head..would love to see more of him...I have been looking for a duck for the garden for a while now...I have many in my kitchen ....Have a most wonderful day Jeanetteann with love Janice..p.s. thank you for the sweet visit.

Good morning Jeanetteann,
How wonderful it must be to have a garden so lovely even in the middle of Winter! We have ice and snow in the middle of Winter here. Your new find is a pretty thing and I'm glad you were able to get it after all. When I was a young bride I didn't care so much for silverware but now I love and apreciate it. Thank you for sharing your lovely post with us at Tea Time and enjoy your day.

Blessings,
Sandi

Gosh, if my winter gardens looked as good as yours! Mine are covered in snow.
A good find on the silver jug, you must have been meant to have it.
Happy tea Tuesday.

Dearest Jeanetteann,

So glad that you were able to safely 'unpick' that beautiful crocheted lace tablecloth and sew it atop a new piece of fabric. What a lovely setting for tea in the garden! Hope you enjoy it for a long time to come.
As for your remark about our lost Spicy: maybe she found a boyfriend and started a new family. That is impossible as we had her spayed. No, we are almost positive that somebody kidnapped her while we were at Church. She would not leave the property or her kittens, not even at their age of 7 months meanwhile. I grieved about her for years. She was so special and I loved her so much. Maybe one day we find out about life's mysteries...
Love to you,
Mariette

Wow! that what winter looks like! Lucky you! All that sunshine and the plants look wonderful. Here, during the winter everything dies and is snow covered. This summer.... everything turned brown and burned up. Crazy weather!!!!
I LOVE your vintage china. I enjoy all of your posts but especially love your tea cups and gorgeous linens!
Will visit again soon!

Your Winter garden looks like quite a restful and enjoyable place, certainly one that would be worthy of some time just sitting sipping tea and gazing at the beauty around you. The silver is such a great find. I've been drawn to silver lately too. It does have a certain mesmerizing quality to it doesn't it?
