Sewing Room tidy up continued

Yesterday I started cleaning and sorting the sewing room
I did the mantle/fireplace as in my last post.
Today I got really inspired to do some more in there.

These are quilts in progress

The night and day couch
Nice and comfy to sit and embroider with a welcome cuppa
and sometimes a quick
afternoon nap

The dressing table was a kerb side find
which I totally redid. I posted about it previously

The lace is a vintage bridal train
I so love pearls and lace

The little cluster of pearls on top of the candle stick
is actually a pretty brooch.
I scored it today at Vinnies for $2.20

I love my curtain tie backs. Nothing wrong
with a bit of bling
even here.

My old kitchen hutch re purposed for the sewing room

Useful shelving and storage
this is where I sew
I hung the vintage lace curtains to hide the modern
office stuff.

I really must get to covering the magazine holders
and some nice shabby labeling.

All this tidying and I'm ready for a nice cup of tea and a biscuit'
Won't you join me.
English Breakfast or Green, I think the Green for me

I'm visiting my usual linky parties this week
The links are on my side bar.

Looking forward to some nice cool weather
I am so over Summer this year
Another hot week coming up and it's Autumn
I usually love Autumn but not at 37celcius.

xx jeanetteann

That is just too swish for a craft room. I feel guilty.

Beautiful craft room, I wish mine looked that pretty!

Oh Jeanetteann, everything looks lovely! Good for you. Love all your dollies, too. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for all of your visits and comments, too. Susan

the quilts you are working on are gorgeous. It seems that one can never have enough shelf storage space. ( I have 4 bookcases here in my office/sewing space for all my books, photo albums, craft supplies, etc.) You certainly do deserve a nice cup of tea after your hard work.

I love the mantle display in your last post and how you have a comfy couch there for tea or napping.
The dolls, the lace and pearls and the lovely quilts - everything looks so pretty and feminine and inspiring!
You have a true gift for beauty, my friend.
And for bargains - the Vinnies pearl brooch is a gem :-)

Hi --me again :) Do you know you are a no-reply blogger? I often want to send you an e-mail after you comment on my blog and I can't. So I hope you notice this comment :) First of all, awhile back you asked me about ironing my ruffled tablecloth. Actually I don't. I just take it immediately out of the dryer and haven't had a problem with any wrinkles...thank goodness! Also, I wanted to say that I am happy that you got a hearing aide. My Mother needs one so badly and it is so frustrating that she can't hear us. I just wish she would get one! She can't even hear the TV and stuff like that. I am going to get a hearing aide just as soon as I need one. Nothing to be ashamed of at all! You seem very young to me. Take care and enjoy the rest of the week! ---Sandy
