Cute little shelves

While out thrifting the other day,I found the two little shelves on the left for a steal
$1 each. A few days later I found the other  larger one for $4
I remembered then when I saw the love hearts about this handy box I had in the shed.
It was given to me by my daughter who was throwing it out. It was painted black
I was using it to store my seeds and garden trowel.

I have been reading on other blogs all the time about chalk paint and had bought a small jar of it previously which was very expensive.  I read on Pinterest how most girls were making their own.
I thought I would have a go. I used water, plaster of paris and white satin paint
I had no idea what quantities to use, so I just guessed and stirred.
It worked out perfectly

I sanded them back a little for the effect we all love, a bit chippy.
I put them up in the bedroom on a blank wall which I had been itching to do something with.

A perfect place to display my perfume bottle collection

Miss Rosie Bear loved the new look wall and the nice love heart place to sit with pearls and roses.
Miss Emily also liked the new look

I hope you had a good week finding lots of treasures.
Hugs, Jeanetteann

Those shelves look amazing painted white! I really like the perfume bottle collection too. So pretty! You know me--things that are white, and things that are girly, are what I love!

What a lovely transformation Jeanetteann. Saw the exact heart wall shelf today for $1 at a yard sale ... & I passed it up for a mirror. BAH!

Have a great weekend ~

How cool that you were able to find all of the shelves in the same
design! They look adorable with all your beautiful bottles. I'll have to try that chalk paint mixture.

Hi Jeanetteann,
Your shelves are cute and I love the baby dress! I will have to email you back one of these days about your offer but I've been having computer problems. I will get back to you. And thank you, by the way. It's very nice of you.
Thank you for your visit and have a lovely weekend.

Blessings,
Sandi
