Afternoon Tea fundraiser

Sundays fundraiser afternoon tea
What a success it was, Thanks to some very generous friends and aquaintances,we raised a conciderable some of money for the Cancer Council.

Everyone enjoyed the homemade goodies,as you can see, there was plenty to go around

We set the food on the dining room table, and the china on tables in the sunroom and garden.
Everyone filled their plates, took them to the sunroom or garden where I served tea from china cups
I used all different colours, it was very shabby chic

A quiet spot under the pergola,in the garden

Another little spot in the shade

The boxes for the donations, plus my book on sale, which I donated $1 from every sale to the cause.

A dear friend who's husband is riding in the  Tour Down Under Challenge in January for this wonderful cause, brought me this gorgeous bunch of orange roses from their garden.  A little thank you for hosting the tea.
I have never seen such a beautiful colour rose, although they do look yellow in this photo

The Hydrangeas were in bloom

The whole day was such a treat, and I was very honoured to be the host.
I am joining a few blog parties this week

Fresh cut Friday
Pink Saturday ,"How Sweet the Sound"
Show off your Cottage Monday ,"House in the Roses"
Show and tell Friday

I hope you all have a lovely

restful, happy week.  xx jeanetteann :o)

Jeanetteann that looks absolutely lovely! What a gorgeous day for it too. My keyboard is wet from drooling over all those cakes. Glad it went well :)
