crafting day

I bought these gorgeous little hand embroidered doilies from an op shop for only $2 for 4
I have kept them in my sewing box,on the table next to my comfy chair, where I can see them, trying to get inspired to make something nice from them.
I decided to stitch them onto a vintage little napkin.
Then crocheted around the edge with double crochet

Meanwhile I made this little needle case with one of them, adding 2 little daisies, cut from some vintage daisy lace, adding a button on the front and back
I used some scrap polo fleece for the pages

Then back to the crochet, adding a scalloped edge around the napkin
I am very pleased with the finished doily, now thinking cap on to use the last one
I am joining Show of you Cottage Monday at the House in the Roses and
Pink Saturday at Rose Chintz Cottage, even though I haven't a pink post today, I still like to visit my blog friends regularly, for inspiration.
Sunday is my fundraising afternoon tea, so all of the cooking is finished and china washed all ready.
I will post the pics from the day on Monday.  Hope you all have a lovely weekend x :o) Jeanetteann
