Organizing with tags and labels in the sewing room
I am continuing to organize my sewing room
I printed off some gorgeous little cards that were kindly
posted for everyone to use by
Astrid Maclean at the website below
I glued them onto some card and cut them out
I think they are so pretty
I wrapped my heirloom cotton laces around them
Kerryanne from Shabby Art Boutique
posted some labels for our use too
aren't they pretty
I printed them off too
Elizabeth from The Porcelain Rose
Makes the most gorgeously pretty tags
I used them to label the storage boxes
I covered this ugly brown box with rose patterned paper
I glued on one of The Porcelain Roses cards (that Elizabeth
kindly included in my order as a gift)
and some lace
and buttons, added a few hearts
another pretty storage box
Labels for the magazine holders, also from The Porcelain Rose
They are actually tags, but I just turned them sideways and
tied the little string into a bow.
Now I think all the sewing room clean up is just about complete.
Maybe just a bit of tweaking in the wardrobes. where I hang all the Christening Gowns.
I will be visiting the linky parties on my side bar this week
I am going to enjoy this lovely weather we are finally getting in the mid 20's celcius Yehhhh.
Love being cool.:)

Sewing Room tidy up continued
Yesterday I started cleaning and sorting the sewing room
I did the mantle/fireplace as in my last post.
Today I got really inspired to do some more in there.
These are quilts in progress
The night and day couch
Nice and comfy to sit and embroider with a welcome cuppa
and sometimes a quick
afternoon nap
The dressing table was a kerb side find
which I totally redid. I posted about it previously
The lace is a vintage bridal train
I so love pearls and lace
The little cluster of pearls on top of the candle stick
is actually a pretty brooch.
I scored it today at Vinnies for $2.20
I love my curtain tie backs. Nothing wrong
with a bit of bling
even here.
My old kitchen hutch re purposed for the sewing room
Useful shelving and storage
this is where I sew
I hung the vintage lace curtains to hide the modern
office stuff.
I really must get to covering the magazine holders
and some nice shabby labeling.
All this tidying and I'm ready for a nice cup of tea and a biscuit'
Won't you join me.
English Breakfast or Green, I think the Green for me
I'm visiting my usual linky parties this week
The links are on my side bar.
Looking forward to some nice cool weather
I am so over Summer this year
Another hot week coming up and it's Autumn
I usually love Autumn but not at 37celcius.

Sewing Room Mantle redo
I cleared everything off my mantle in the sewing room
ready for a good clean and new look
The first items I added was the mirror and candlestick with cherub
Not sure if that will stay there though
Hung up my dream catcher
A row of blingy sparkly beads on wire
Added the three flower pots,I recently painted and decorated
Moved the candlestick and cherub to the other side
and the little lantern with my tiny birdie inside
A little feather,a few roses and cherubs
A string of pearls
One of my Christening gowns on one side
And one on the other
Sugar Britches baby doll I made and dressed in lace
A few lacy cushions in the fireplace
And almost done, hmm don't like the candles in the flower pots
I think I am happy with that for now.
Tomorrow,the rest of the room
I hope you are having a nice week
I'm trying to stay inside out of the heat,
a good time to turn everything about.
Join me at the lovely linky parties
Links on my side bar.
xx jeanetteann
