I am so pleased with myself this week,as I have achieved so much
Putting away the decorations a bit early this year because we are into a heat wave
The temps are going to be up to 43c for the rest of this week and into next
I find if I de clutter,it makes me feel cooler
The garden is glorious,blooms everywhere
The holly hocks are reaching way up into the trees
We have never had them grow so tall
The roses are the best ever
I sowed a whole packet of sunflower seeds, only to have one grow.
I think the black birds get them
In the vege patch
I found it easier to grow the simpler things like
basil,mint,parsley,sage,thyme tarragon
Tomatoes,cucumber,spinach,silverbeet and beans
Having only a small garden, some vegs take up too much room
I do manage potatoes too in any spare spots.
With the weather heating up I am enjoying visiting my blogger friends
in the Northern Hemisphere to see their lovely wintery photo's
I will be visiting their linky parties too
The links are on my side bar.
Looking forward to lots of good things happening in 2013

Your garden looks amazing! Those roses are so pretty. I so miss my roses. I have got my tree down and already the house seems cleaner. No more needles everywhere. Looking forward to getting the rest of the decorations cleaned up. Have a wonderful 2013!
So nice to see your winter garden with those great tomatoes. I missed gardening in 2012 with the drought here in Texas. Hoping for a wetter 2013. Thanks for sharing your beautiful roses and sunny flowers. They sure brightened up our gray winter day. Happy New Year, Jeanette!
I love holly hocks and yours are gorgeous.
Thanks for bring some greenery to us, since I am looking out at snow!

I didn't realise it was that hot in Adelaide I noticed the temps for Perth the last couple of days were pretty high it's not bad in Sydney this year. Your garden is lovely everything seems to be doing very well.
Merle.......
Happy New Year! Your garden is growing so well. I can't believe how big the hollyhocks are.
Hi Jeanetteann, thanks for stopping by, looks like you are off to a good start for the new year, your plants are amazing!
Hi Jeanetteann, it is always such a good feeling to de clutter after Christmas. I do leave a bit of Winter up, but I always get the organizing bug. Just makes you feel good. Love your gorgeous blooms! I will be featuring you at Share Your Cup later today. I think sharing your gorgeous Hollyhocks will help chase away everyones Winter blooms.
Hugs,
Jann

Dearest Jeanetteann,
What a lush garden you have! Unbelievable those holly hocks I wish we could grow them here but the soil is too poor and too hot in summer. Enjoy them for me as well. Wishing you and your dear husband a Happy New Year. Funny that you also drive the Ford Fiesta in Australia. My Dad had two of them. Here in the USA they are starting to drive some more energy efficient smaller cars. It does make a huge difference in pollution and in your own wallet. We never have driven a big car for that matter.
Hugs to you and stay healthy.
Mariette
