Baking day

I love to bake on a cold day, it really warms you up and the kitchen takes on that gorgeous homely smell. I baked banana cakes and walnut and date rolls today. Will put nice lemon icing on the banana cakes and lovely fresh best butter on the roll. YUM

fiddley bits day

Today I felt like just fiddling about with bits and pieces trying to use up the mountain of things in my sewing room. I used up a few little doilies that someone had given to me by turning them into milk jug covers. They make excellent little gifts when wrapped up with a little vintage milk jug.

I finally did it

Well I have finally got my website up and running. It seems to have taken forever but I have got there. I still have lots of tweeking to do but I can do that at my leisure now the main work is done.

FROM MY SEWING ROOM,A LITTLE BASKET I PICKED UP FOR $3 ON WHICH I TIED A TOGGLE BUTTON AND USE IT FOR A LOVELY LITTLE SEWING BASKET.

I MADE THE VICTORIAN LOOK PATCHWORK PRAM QUILT FROM SCRAPS OF GOLD SILK LEFT OVER FROM MY CHRISTENING GOWN CREATIONS.

THE PINK FLOWER CUSHION I MADE FROM A REMNANT OF PINK DELUSTRED SATIN. I THINK IT IS SO PRETTY, I HOPE YOU AGREE

More great finds today. Set 6 cork tablemats,an art deco pink depression glass vase,a chunky square glass container and 3 glasses which match 3 I already have and a Royal Albert country roses saucer, all for just under $19.
